Personalities and stakeholders of Community Development Committee (CDC) across Lagos storm Imota Local Council Development Area today to grace the LEADERSHIP TRAINING, a Maiden Program of Imota Community Development Committee, the program which was tagged INSECURITY MENACE: CDA INVOLVEMENT AS A LASTING SOLUTION. The program which saw different speakers from different field of development as an engineer to enlighten and educate the members of Community Development Associations across Imota Local Council Development Area on the ways they can solidify efforts in providing lasting solution to the security challenge of their LCDA.

While the program was on Prince Waheed Olalekan, the State Director, National Orientation Agency, Lagos State, dishes out a very applaudable speech on parenting technics for parents as they are the first teacher and a source of acquiring manner to their children. He furthered that parents needs to be checking on their childs on their daily activities to know if they are still keeping their moral lessons.

The Second Speaker Barr. Adebisi Ogundipe, discusses on the legal ways of maintaining our security strength by encouraging a uniform and friendly security alertness in which he encouraged that we should go back to the ways of our fathers then which they serve as the security of their neighbors whenever there is security outcry from the other door. He state that, we can all stand as an officer of the law by making sure that when there is any criminal act we stand out and make sure we don’t do justice by ourselves but by handing over the person in question to the Police officer. He concluded that we should all be acquainted with the knowledge of the law to control our community and get a lawyer to guide us on the lawful ways of making a peaceful community.

The Chairman of the Community Development Committee, Comr. Rafiu Abiodun Ashaka, added that he feel elated and highly honoured to have all the members of his Community Development Associations all in attendance to grace the occasion so as to pass to them the required knowledge as a community leader, he further charge the members to go back to their shores and pass the knowledge they have gathered today to their members in their various Associations. By so doing it will show that truly “we are committed to the development of our community.”

The training ended with appreciation by the Public Relation Officer, Animashaun Azeez Remilekun, by appreciating the Guest Speakers, Stakeholders and Personalities for making it a day with them today and the program is organized to orientate our members on the need to be security watch guards of their respective Association.
