On Saturday, 26th of August, 2023 the Congress of Imota Student’s Union unanimously appointed Comrade Odufesi Temitope Rukayat as the first female president of the well recognized community student body sequel to the impeachment of the then president, Comrade Amusa Ismail Olamiji.
The appointment was conveyed in a statement released on the late hour of Saturday, 26th of August sacking the then president and directing him to handover all the documents and properties of the union to the new president on or before 2nd of September, 2023.
According to the statement in part, “Mr. Amusa Ismail Olamiji is hereby directed to handover all the union properties in his custody to the new President of Imota Student’s Union, Comrade Odufesi Temitope Rukayat…”
Comrade Odufesi Temitope Rashidat, the newly appointed President of Imota Student’s Union which also couple as the Chairperson, ISU WEEK 2023 is the first female to occupy the duo position in the history of the union. The young lady is a 300Level, Political Science Education student of Lagos State University, Ojo, a fashion entrepreneur and she was the acting president before the impeachment of the then president of the union.
