HON ALIMI NURUDEEN LAUDS PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU, GOVERNOR BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU, REP BABAJIMI BENSON AND OTHERS FOR INCLUSIONS OF OFFIN-ORETA ROAD IN FEDERAL SUPPLEMENTARY BUDGET

Today, November 2nd, 2023 will forever remain a remarkable day for all the people living around Offin-ile and Oreta Communities respectively in Igbogbo-Bayeiku LCDA, for the inclusion of the Offin-Oreta Road in the 2023 supplementary budget of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The 13-kilometer Offin-Oreta Road, which had been constructed since 1986, is currently in a state of disrepair due to lack of proper maintenance, except for the palliatives that were done severally by the Igbogbo-Bayeiku Local Council Development Area during the tenure of the former councilor, Hon. Samson Ishola, who represented Ward C3 under the Chairmanship of Hon. Gbenga Babasanya.

The honourable Councilor, representing Ward C3 in Igbogbo-Bayeiku LCDA, Hon. Alimi Nurudeen Alowonle, expresses his sincere appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, Senator Tokunbo Abiru, Hon. Babajimi Benson, and Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun for their tremendous efforts and support for the growth and development of the communities.

Hon. Alimi also appreciated His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom, all the political stakeholders, starting from Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun to Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, and the Executive Chairman, Bldr. Olusesan Mayokun Daini, for their unwavering support and commitment towards the development of the entire Igbogbo-Bayeiku LCDA as a whole.

He added that as a serving Councillor of Ward C3, representing Offin-Oreta areas, he had also facilitated palliative measures of the road through the support and approval of the Council Chairman, Bldr Olusesan Daini, on four different occasions, while the fifth palliative was done early this year, in February, 2023, by Rep. Babajimi Benson.

He also thanked the Baale of Offin Community, the Baale of Oreta Community, CDAs, and the entire residents in the two communities for their perseverance. He concluded by thanking Hon. Nurudeen Solaja, who also gave his support for palliative measures during his tenure in office.

Hon. Alimi Nurudeen
Councilor, Ward C3, Igbogbo-Bayeiku LCDA & Chairman, Lagos State Councilors’ Forum.
